Okay, the park and the boardwalk that runs along the beach are absolutely amazing. From the bocce court, to the beach volleyball competitions, to the live music and dancing organized by the town, this is an incredibly family-friendly place to be. One of the most integrated venues in Connecticut! Don't miss spending a weekend afternoon and evening here.

Nice park with a board walk DJ on the weekends and good restaurants in the area. Just be careful with parking can be a 100 dollars if you park in the wrong area..
The most amazing place in the whole state to hunt Pokemon in Pokemon Go. Jimmies next door is a great place to recharge your batteries, if not your phone's. Bring a battery pack and make a day at the beach of it!
A beautiful stretch of the total boardwalk, this part sometimes has interesting things going on near the telescope and bocci court, always has a selection of people watchers, and is very well kept. The bathrooms in the Police Dept building aren't always very clean, but it's nice to have the option of an actual bathroom rather than the port-a-potty when they're open. (They usually are in the spring through the fall, but seem to be closed mid-fall to early spring.)
